Finals just ended and i was rushing my packing for moscow trip!
In the past, i kinda wonder how it feels like to have a holiday trip right after exams. Like the excitement you feel when you sit for your paper knowing that you will be flying the day after the exam.
Perhaps due to the immense stress from my exam, having studied late into wee mornings and eat study sleep routine for the past weeks, i felt numb.
But when i was at the airport, i felt excited, hehe, well who wouldnt? I love the feeling when the airplane ascends into the clouds, and also the feeling when the plane descends. Feels like an extremely gentle viking ship. HA!

Prior to this Moscow trip, initially i didnt want to go cos i didnt have a particular country that i really really wanna go but since free accomodation at my Uncle's apartment, why not? and SNOW , i was longing to see snow again \o/
Above: im kinda obsessed with the mirror image rage.
Prior to booking SIA flight, i asked my Aunt why didnt she chose other airlines, simply because SIA is the only airline that provides less than 12hrs flight to Moscow, and its DIRECT flight. AWESOME eh (:
Hadnt take SIA flight since primary school, i think. Super long time ago.
Above left: the mandatory selfie shot. I was hugging the little pillow happily when i realised i forgot to bring mine. *little girl mode*
Above right: ok dont say i suaku lahh, i like the decoration in the plane, the xmas festive mood sets in (; I was pretty fascinated by the torchlight beneath the screen, personal lights. I LIKE!
my supper: Braised chicken with carrots, rice, and mushrooms.
REVIEW:the dono-what sauce was super yummy, chicken was not very fatty, quite lean with
lots of breastmeat( im a lean meat lover). Carrots were not too soft nor
too hard. Rice was chewy and omg i just love rice. And the mushrooms
was just nice. Food was good! except the bread, abit hard eh(or maybe its meant to be hard?)
Rating: 5/5
breakfast/lunch, Aunt and i argued over whether it was lunch or breakkie, LOL . Cos it was technically, Singapore's Lunch time, but Moscow's breakfast time. I had scrambled eggs while she had ee-mian
Review: her food didnt look tantalising enough to me so ...... LETS MOVE ON TO MINE! :P
Review: i didnt expect the scrambled eyes to be just a smooth
patch. it looked more like a sauce rather than scrambled eyes. but it
turned out alright. but i didnt like the intense taste of egg yolk.
would have preferred it to be less intense cos i dont like egg yolks but
previously some scrambled eggs that i have tried didnt have strong yolk
taste. The potato, sausage broccoli were just nice for me. The fruits were so-so, bread so-so(abit hard). i didnt take yogurt cos i prefer those ice type.
Ratings: 4/5 (minus pts for fruit and bread)
We reached Moscow Domodedovo Airport in the morning and took the cab to my Uncle's house. It was a roughly 1hr car ride to Arbat Street.
Above: Now you see what im wearing, now you dont!
Omg i love Uncle Raymond and Aunty Penny's apartment, it is like my dream house. 2 Huge full length mirrors, i wasted no time admiring and selca-ing. I refused to use selfie, im still slightly koreanish, thus SELCA-ING!
We had a short rest, and homecooked indonesian cuisine lunch by Aunty Penny. YUMMY! My tastebuds are having a holiday now , enjoying life too! LOL
After which we went to have early dinner on a cruise-3pm cruise ride. We went to the bus stop along the New Arbat Street and we took bus 44 to reach.
Above: notice the cables above the buses, its similar to Hongkong's Trams. But no tracks on the road.
How
the ticketing system works: Each card can be used for a stipulated
number of times. The card can be used for anyone, so with one card, we
tapped for 4 people. Also, notice the barrier in the bus, aint something you see in Singapore.
We got off at the bus stop that was near the building(above). the Radisson Hotel.
Aunty Penny and Uncle Raymond went to get tickets while 3rd Aunt and me snapped photos away.
above:our cruise
The wind was too chilly so i changed to my beanie.
Above: interior of the cruise ship/boat. whatever you call it. It feels too small to be called a ship but it feels way too atas to be called a boat .
Above: the route our cruise took
Bread with butter. Arent the butter cute ?:D
Above: my Mors drink ( a kind of berry drink)
Clockwise from top: beef straganoff, veal cutlet ,lamb , Borsch soup
above: fascinated with the birds being able to withstand the cold. and standing on parts of the frozen river
above:who says we cant have ice cream during winter LOL
Above:Radisson hotel looking magnificent at seemingly night time( it was only 4pm++) The sun sets earlier her, so by around 4.30pm, it looked like night time.
above: the many landmarks that we passed by. Can you spot painting on one of the buildings? (;
Review: The menu was in Russian and English so it made ordering much easier for us.
the food were really good! While on the cruise, you can request for the audio guide(i think its free, think you better check). But then again, the audio guide is not in synchro with the speed of the cruise so for us we got 2 audio guides and shared, but as it wasnt in synchro and we didnt know where we were near at, i kinda lost interest in it. The waitresses knew a little English and were rather helpful. There was also a photographer who took photos of everyone on board, its like after your meal, you can view the photos taken and get them printed (;
Ratings: 5/5.(full marks for service, food, ambience)

They provided us with mint chewing gum, it was a bad move when i chewed it. It was -5 degree celsius that day, before chewing it, i felt warm in my clothing. But after chewing it, i kept shivering when we left the cruise.
Note to self: no more mint sweets in winter.
